FC Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Match at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium on 7 November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
